About the Role:
LD Total is seeking a motivated Weed Spray Technician Supervisor to lead our vegetation management operations across metropolitan and regional South Australia. You'll oversee experienced field crews delivering essential weed control and environmental maintenance services for councils, commercial clients, developers, road corridors, reserves and public open spaces.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting field crews
- Planning daily and weekly work schedules to meet client requirements
- Identifying weed species and determining appropriate treatment methods
- Applying herbicides and pesticides safely and in accordance with legislative requirements
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining WHS, environmental and biosecurity compliance
- Managing spraying equipment, vehicles, chemical inventories and site documentation
- Building strong relationships with clients, council representatives and project managers
- Monitoring team performance, productivity and quality outcomes
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work. Ideally you'll have:
- At least 3 years' experience in weed control, vegetation management or landscape maintenance
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Current ChemCert accreditation (or equivalent)
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
- Strong knowledge of weed identification, herbicide application and vegetation management
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
- Certificate III in Conservation & Ecosystem Management, Horticulture or similar
- Pesticide Operator's Licence
- MR Truck Licence
- White Card
- First Aid Certificate
- Experience delivering council, utility, road corridor or environmental contracts
- Experience using digital job management systems
