Your responsibilities will include:
As a Mechanical Design Drafter at Lockheed Martin Australia, you will help create and update mechanical designs and engineering drawings for a range of engineering projects. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you’ll support projects across different areas of the business while building your technical skills and industry experience.
With training and support from senior team members, you will gain exposure to all stages of the engineering process and assist with a range of activities, including:

Preparing and updating 3D CAD models, detailed design drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams

Assisting with design reviews and engineering documentation checks

Helping manage supplier design information and engineering records

Supporting prototype builds, design improvements, and document updates
The preferred location for this role is Mawson Lakes, SA, though candidates based in Williamtown, NSW will also be considered.
About you:
This is an entry-level opportunity, and full training will be provided. We’re looking for someone with an interest in mechanical design, drafting, or engineering technology. Previous experience in a technical or engineering environment is helpful, but not essential.

Basic experience with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, engineering drawings and drafting standards

Experience using Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office applications

Recently completed or currently completing, a TAFE or equivalent qualification in Engineering Drafting, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
