Position Overview
As a Marketing Officer at Sports College SA (SCSA), you will play a key role in planning, delivering and evaluating the College’s marketing and communications activities across digital, print and events. You will take ownership of campaign execution, content development and channel performance, ensuring all marketing initiatives align with the College’s Strategic Marketing Plan and support enrolment growth, brand awareness and long-term sustainability.
This role requires a proactive, organised and creative marketing professional who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute strategically to the ongoing development of SCSA’s brand and community presence.
Core Role Requirements
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Delivery
- Contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of the College’s marketing strategy and annual marketing plan.
- Coordinate and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Manage the development, scheduling and optimisation of email marketing campaigns and online communications.
- Coordinate paid digital campaigns, including social media advertising and Google Ads, monitoring performance and providing insights and recommendations.
- Analyse campaign results and audience engagement to inform continuous improvement.
Content Creation & Brand Management
- Lead the creation of high-quality, engaging content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn), ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Plan and execute content calendars aligned to key enrolment, events and College milestones.
- Create, commission and manage visual and written content, including photography, video, graphics and copy.
- Provide graphic design support across marketing initiatives, producing on‑brand digital and print assets using approved design tools and templates to support campaigns, events and communications.
- Ensure all marketing materials reflect the College’s values, tone and brand identity.
- Oversee the creation and distribution of print and digital marketing collateral.
Website, SEO & Digital Platforms
- Coordinate website content to support SEO and SEM outcomes, improving visibility and reach.
- Manage the creation of engaging blogs for our website. Tell the SCSA story, ensuring accuracy, relevance and strong user experience.
- Manage the College’s Mailchimp database, including segmentation, compliance and campaign reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve digital performance across platforms and tools.
Events & Community Engagement
- Play a lead role in the planning, coordination and delivery of College events in collaboration with the Events Committee.
- Manage marketing support for key events, including Information Sessions, Season Launch, Orientation & Connection Days, Camp, Formal and Graduation.
- Coordinate external suppliers such as photographers, videographers and designers to support events and campaigns.
- Support community engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships with families, industry partners and local communities.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with staff across the College.
- Liaise professionally with students, parents, industry partners and community stakeholders in line with College communication guidelines.
- Plan, implement and manage a team of students for Pathway Preparation Day, coordinating and supervising their marketing placement to support skill development, workplace readiness and meaningful contribution to the Marketing team.
- Actively contribute ideas, best practices, and insights to the Marketing team and wider College.
Compliance, Professional Conduct & Other Duties
- Adhere to SCSA Child Safe policies, Mandatory Reporting requirements and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Participate in professional development, training and performance review processes.
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute positively to team culture.
- Undertake additional duties aligned with the role and level of responsibility as directed by the Head of MACE.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor degree or higher in Business and Marketing, plus at least 12 months of relevant work experience.
- Current First Aid qualification (including CPR and Anaphylaxis Training)
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current RHHAN – Responding to Abuse and Neglect Certificate
