About Beau’s Pet Hotel
Beau’s is a state-of-the-art Pet Hotel that offers a safe and loving holiday and Daycare experience for fur babies! We offer both standard and luxury accommodation for cats and dogs, doggy Daycare, Grooming services as well as Beau’s Training School. Beau’s is conveniently located in the Adelaide Airport precinct, right next to Harbour town.
All profits from Beau’s Pet Hotel are returned to Guide Dogs SA/NT to enable independence, participation, inclusion and wellbeing for people living with vision loss, and other specialised needs through the provision of Guide Dogs, Assistance Dogs and specialist services.
About the role
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Animal Attendant Team Leader to supervise day-to-day operations and provide exceptional care to our guests staying at Beau’s Pet Hotel. You will be closely working with our leadership team, each with expertise in different areas of animal care and behaviour.
Permanent part-time opportunity working 27 hours spread over four days a week (Wednesday – Saturday), rotating am/pm roster each week (6.30am to 1.45pm or 1.15pm to 8.30pm and includes public holidays when required.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide training, supervision and support to Animal Attendants in their day-to-day duties of animal husbandry through effective induction, clear work functions, task assignment and performance monitoring
- Provide professional communication regarding pets to their owners.
- Perform rostering, daily checks, reporting and other operational duties.
- Manage and provide enrichment activities and care to all pet guests.
- Provide medication and basic first aid to animals where required.
- Provide high level communication to managers and team members.
- Deliver memorable high-level customer service.
About you
It is important our Animal Attendant Team Leaders are suitably qualified and experienced in people leadership, including monitoring day-to-day team performance. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is essential, with a willingness to manage workforce and rostering requirements.
Relevant tertiary qualifications, in Veterinary Nursing or a related discipline (or currently completing) is strongly preferred. You will also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of dog behaviour and temperament, with demonstrated animal handling skills.
We are looking for someone that is highly reliable, organised, self-motivated, enthusiastic and mature minded with excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
A current Driver’s License and Police Clearance (cost covered) will be required.
