About Us

Detector Inspector started in 2005 when our two founders, Jason and Jordan, recognised an opportunity to make a difference - we could help make homes safer for renters and make safety compliance easier for property managers.

About the role

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced electrician to carry out maintenance and testing of 240V smoke detectors, as well as some 9V battery-powered detectors, and to test and replace RCDs in residential properties. The work is primarily located in Gosford, with travel to surrounding areas as required, so a willingness to travel and a genuine enjoyment of driving is essential.

You will start your day from home to your first appointment, using our in-house built app to track your bookings and record all the relevant job information. Each inspection can vary between 10-30 minutes to ensure a property is safe and compliant, whilst travel time between appointments can vary.

What you'll bring

Electrical licence
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Professional presentation and self-motivated
Strong customer and safety focus
Familiar with smart phones applications

Please note: Safety comes first at Detector Inspector, as a pre-requisite candidates will be required to complete a National Police Clearance and a Pre-employment Physical Assessment.
