About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable, and people-focused Companion Care Workers to join our growing team on a casual basis across Maitland, Morpeth, Thornton, Rutherford, Raymond Terrace and/or Swansea Belmont.
This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful connections while empowering clients to remain independent and engaged in their community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Providing friendly companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with light domestic duties (cleaning, vacuuming, laundry)
- Preparing meals and helping with grocery shopping
- Supporting social participation, including transport to appointments and outings
- Delivering care that respects each client’s individuality, values, and cultural background
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and support networks
This role would also be suitable for someone who can work school hours but not mandatory.

To be successful, you will have:
- A positive, compassionate, and reliable approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in working independently and adapting to different needs
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle, and comprehensive insurance
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
(High School/Senior Certificate is desirable but not essential.)
