About the role:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in the Emergency Department (ED) to assess and manage patients primarily, in close collaboration with the Emergency Physician that is on duty. The successful applicant may have a scope of practice that is broad, adult only, or has a paediatric focus.
Clinical accountability for advanced practice will be to the ED Clinical Director, with professional line management to the Nurse Unit Manager
Successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
- Registered as a nurse (with AHPRA)
- Endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner (by AHPRA).
- Experience as a NP or NP candidate with an ED scope of practice
