Position: Chef

Full Time

Location: Shepparton VIC 3630

Salary: ($80,000 - $85,000 per year) + Superannuation

We are looking for a Chef to join our team on a full-time basis at our venue located at Shepparton VIC 3630

Contribute to menu development by creating recipes using local and seasonal ingredients, undertake costing and prepare budget.
Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs
Control and rotate stock, estimate supplies, undertake timely ordering ensuring costs stay within budget.
Inspect kitchen facilities and equipment to ensure operability, cleanliness and meeting safety standards. Arrange maintenance as required.
Co-ordinate and supervise mise-en-place prior to service.
Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions such as weddings, parties, and banquets.
Direct and supervise food preparation, demonstrating techniques as required.
Cook menu items using a variety of techniques.
Organizing duty roster of kitchen staff
Train and supervise kitchen staff.

What we are looking for:

Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (mandatory)
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP knowledge preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Creativity in pastry decoration and presentation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible with work shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,413.99 per year
