Executive Assistant - based in Shepparton

Salary: $46.70 – $50.25 per hour

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week (with monthly out of hours Board meetings)

Do you thrive on keeping things moving, supporting senior leaders, and strengthening good governance? The Bridge Youth and Family Services (TBYFS) are seeking someone passionate to step into the role of Executive Assistant.

About Us:

The Bridge Youth & Family Services (TBYFS) is a leading community organisation supporting young people and families across the Goulburn Valley. With a strong presence in Shepparton, Seymour and Wallan, we deliver programs that strengthen wellbeing, connection and opportunity, ranging from family support and housing assistance to mental health, mentoring and early intervention. We work so that young people in our community feel safe, supported and optimistic about their future.

About the Role:

This is a new, pivotal role to TBYFS, where you will provide high level executive, governance, and administrative support to the CEO and Board of Directors. A snapshot of your duties include:

Executive Support

Managing the CEO’s calendar, priorities and workflow
Coordinating meetings, agendas, briefing packs and follow‑ups
Drafting correspondence, reports and presentations
Acting as a key liaison point for internal and external stakeholders
Tracking strategic priorities and organisational initiatives

Governance & Board Support

Coordinating Board and subcommittee meetings
Preparing agendas, Board papers and meeting packs
Taking accurate minutes and maintaining action registers
Assisting with Board member onboarding and induction

Stakeholder & External Relations

Liaising with Board members, partners and community stakeholders
Ensuring timely, professional communication on behalf of the CEO
Preparing materials for external meetings and engagements

About You:

You will be proactive, calm under pressure, and be able to juggle competing priorities. You will bring:

Proven experience as an EA
Strong governance and Board support capability
Excellent written communication, including agenda compilation and minute-taking
High attention to detail and accuracy
Professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment
A collaborative, relationship-focused approach to your work

Experience in the not-for-profit or community sector, understanding of governance frameworks, and experience supporting a Company Secretary is desirable. To be successful in this role, you must have a current driver license and an Employee Working with Children Check.

We are dedicated to providing placements for local Students studying Youth Work, Community Service and Social Work.

Our 2025 placements are now full.

The Bridge Youth Service is committed to supporting students looking for a regional placement that involves working with youth.

If you have a passion for helping youth ask your education provider to contact us directly regarding a placement in 2026.

We partner locally with Latrobe University, GoTAFE, the University of Melbourne and Kangan Institute and all placements are co-ordinated directly with the education provider.
