The Operations Manager, Medicine Inpatients is a member of the Hub Executive and works in partnership with other senior managers inthe Hub. The role provides executive leadership in directing the operational management of (as per organisationalChart) services delivered in Wollongong Hospital. The Operations Manager is responsible for working with theDepartment Heads and Department Managers to ensure high quality safe clinical services are delivered effectivelyand efficiently and that the divisional strategic plans and goals are implemented throughout the hospital. The positionmodels and promotes the CORE Values of ISLHD to ensure the hospital delivers patient/client focussed services in anadaptive, responsive and performance oriented manner.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.- Registered Nurse or Midwife (AHPRA) with demonstrated senior nursing and/or midwifery experience with experience in leading staff and managing services in a relevant setting.
