The Principal Real Estate Visual Production Specialist is a senior, hands-on production role responsible for independently executing professional-grade real estate photography and videography, managing advanced post-production workflows, and maintaining technical, visual, and brand consistency across all deliverables.
This role is designed for an experienced professional capable of operating across stills, motion, colour science, and design systems at a commercial standard without supervision or creative direction.
Creative intuition alone is insufficient. The role requires deep technical literacy, production discipline, and theoretical understanding.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesVideography (Advanced Production Control)
- Independently plan and execute real estate video shoots including interior, exterior, architectural, and lifestyle coverage
- Operate professional mirrorless or cinema camera systems in full manual mode
- Maintain shutter-angle discipline, ISO optimisation, and ND filtration strategies
- Manage mixed lighting environments using Kelvin-based white balance control
- Prevent flicker, banding, and colour inconsistencies under artificial lighting
- Execute repeatable camera movement using properly tuned and balanced gimbal systems
- Maintain professional conduct on occupied residential and commercial sites
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Edit complex, multi-sequence timelines to strict brand and delivery specifications
- Perform technical colour correction and shot matching using scopes rather than visual estimation
- Manage audio gain staging, noise reduction, and loudness compliance
- Optimise exports for multiple delivery platforms while preserving colour integrity
- Execute revisions efficiently without disrupting production schedules
Photography (Advanced – Core Requirement)
- Independently capture professional real estate photography at commercial standards
- Execute multi-bracket exposure strategies for dynamic range optimisation
- Perform manual window pull techniques and highlight recovery
- Maintain vertical correction and perspective integrity without distortion
- Manage mixed colour temperature environments with consistent results
- Work efficiently in occupied properties without reshoots
Photography Post-Production
- Execute advanced HDR workflows prioritising natural tonal transitions
- Perform precise exposure blending, colour correction, and tonal balancing
- Apply consistent visual standards across high-volume image sets
- Perform controlled object removal and cleanup within MLS-safe guidelines
Graphic Design & Brand Integration
- Design and integrate brand-compliant motion graphics, overlays, and lower thirds
- Prepare thumbnails, social derivatives, and marketing collateral
- Maintain strict adherence to typography systems, colour standards, and layout rules
- Apply brand guidelines consistently across stills, motion, and digital assets
Software & Technical Proficiency (Expert Level Required)Adobe Premiere Pro
- Advanced timeline structuring, nested sequences, and proxy workflows
- Manual waveform, vectorscope, and parade-based colour balancing
- Multi-codec timeline optimisation and GPU acceleration management
- LUFS-compliant audio mixing and limiter management
- Export optimisation using correct codec profiles, bit depth, and chroma subsampling
Adobe After Effects
- Creation and modification of motion graphics using shape layers and expressions
- Pre-composition strategies to avoid rasterisation and scaling artefacts
- Continuous rasterisation and collapse transformations
- Performance optimisation using cache and render pipeline management
DaVinci Resolve
- Node-based colour correction logic
- Primary and secondary colour corrections using scopes
- Colour space transforms and gamma handling (Rec.709)
- (Resolve used as a colour science tool only; not a primary NLE)
Adobe Lightroom
- Histogram-driven exposure decisions
- Advanced HDR blending and tonal mapping
- Preset development with controlled batch processing
- Large-scale catalog management without colour drift
Adobe Photoshop
- Advanced luminosity masking and channel-based selections
- Manual window masking and exposure blending
- Perspective-aware transformations without geometry distortion
- Fully non-destructive layer workflows
Adobe Illustrator
- Creation of vector-based brand assets
- Precise anchor point, stroke, and scaling control
- Typography management with optical kerning and baseline alignment
Adobe InDesign
- Structured layout handling using paragraph and character styles
- Baseline grid alignment and spacing discipline
- Digital-only export optimisation
Education and Formal Qualifications (Mandatory)
Applicants must hold both of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design
- Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Film, or Media Production
Certificates, short courses, bootcamps, or self-taught pathways do not meet the minimum requirement and will not be considered as substitutes.
