The Yarra Valley Grand Hotel is currently undergoing an exciting renovation, and we are looking for reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic people to join our housekeeping team on a casual basis.
Our historic hotel offers 10 guest rooms, each with its own character, including Premium Rooms, Yarra and Melba Suites, Balcony Suites and our unique multi-level Tower Suite. We also have four newly developed Grand Hotel Apartments, providing a mix of traditional hotel accommodation and contemporary apartment-style stays. There is also 4 bedroom house with swimming pool and BBQ area located on the property.
With our ongoing renovations and continued growth in accommodation, we are looking to build a strong housekeeping team to help us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across the property.
About the Role
As a Casual Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring our guest rooms and accommodation areas are clean, comfortable and presented to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Cleaning and servicing guest rooms and apartments
- Making beds and changing linen
- Cleaning bathrooms and living areas
- Vacuuming, mopping and dusting
- Restocking guest amenities and supplies
- Preparing rooms for arriving guests
- Cleaning common areas as required
- Reporting maintenance issues or room defects
- Working efficiently to meet daily room turnaround requirements
- Maintaining high standards throughout our renovated and existing accommodation areas
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Friendly and professional
- Proud of their attention to detail
- Able to work efficiently and independently
- Physically capable of the requirements of housekeeping
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Comfortable working in a busy hospitality environment
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- License and own car or transport necessary due to semi-remote location

Casual hours will vary depending on occupancy and business requirements, with additional hours available during busy periods.
