Scone Hospital is seeking motivated Enrolled Nurses to join our diverse and welcoming team. Nestled in the beautiful Upper Hunter, Scone offers the charm of country living with the amenities of a modern healthcare facility. The hospital features a mixed medical and surgical ward, operating theatre, maternity unit, emergency department and onsite medical imaging, providing exposure to a wide variety of clinical presentations. What You Will Be Doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse on duty, Nurse Unit Manager or After Hours Nurse Manager to deliver safe, evidence-based and person-centred care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care within your scope of practice.
- Managing a delegated patient load within the ward environment.
- Assisting with the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition.
- Collaborating with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to a safe, efficient clinical environment.
- Supporting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.
This role also offers the opportunity to work across different departments within the facility, allowing you to broaden your experience and further develop your clinical capability.
About you
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Enrolled Nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and enjoys working within a supportive team environment.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months' clinical nursing experience and be motivated to continue developing their knowledge and skills. You will be adaptable, proactive and willing to work across various clinical areas as required, contributing positively to our collaborative team culture.
Essential requirements:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to patient-centred care and continuous learning.
- Experience in venepuncture and/or cannulation, or a willingness to complete competency training.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to work across departments and, where required, nearby facilities.
