About the Opportunity
Scone Hospital is seeking motivated Enrolled Nurses to join our diverse and supportive team, with either one full-time position or two part-time opportunities available. Scone Hospital is a picturesque rural facility offering all the amenities of a larger hospital. The facility includes a mixed medical and surgical ward, operating theatre, maternity unit, emergency department and onsite medical imaging services, providing a varied and rewarding clinical environment. Located just over three hours north of Sydney, Scone offers the perfect balance between country living and accessibility, with Newcastle, Maitland and the Central Coast all within reach for a day trip. With Tamworth and Armidale nearby, you'll be ideally positioned to enjoy the best of regional NSW. Our team is made up of experienced and emerging clinicians who bring a wealth of knowledge, skills and support to the workplace. You will be supported by an onsite Clinical Nurse Educator and Nurse Unit Manager, with a structured orientation program and ongoing opportunities for professional development and upskilling.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Enrolled Nurse, you will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality patient care within a ward setting. You will be responsible for managing a patient load appropriate to your scope of practice and undertaking a range of clinical duties while reporting to the Registered Nurse on duty, Nurse Unit Manager or After Hours Nurse Manager. This role offers exposure to a broad range of clinical presentations and the opportunity to further develop your skills within a supportive rural healthcare environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 12 months' clinical nursing experience and is eager to continue developing their skills and career within a supportive team environment.
Essential requirements:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
• Be motivated to become part of a young and emerging team
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centred care
• Have advanced skills in venepuncture and/or cannulation, or a willingness to work towards competency in these areas
• Be adaptable and willing to work across other departments within the facility, or nearby facilities as required
• Possess strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills
• Be committed to ongoing learning and professional development
