A² Tutors is looking for enthusiastic Primary and High School Math & English tutors to provide 1:1 tutoring in students’ homes primarily in the Ryde district, Lower North Shore, and Inner West.
This is a great opportunity for a current Teaching/Education student to gain practical experience working with students while earning flexible income around your university studies.

About the role
You’ll work 1:1 with Primary and High School students, helping them build their knowledge, skills and confidence in Math and/or English.
We currently have students across:
- Ryde District: East Ryde, West Ryde, Ryde, Gladesville, Hunters Hill
- Lower North Shore: Castlecrag, Frenchs Forest
- Inner West: Drummoyne, Leichhardt, Tempe
Students are matched based on:

Who we’re looking for
We’d particularly love to hear from you if you are:
- Currently studying Teaching, Education or a related university degree
- Available for 2–3 weekday afternoons during school terms
- Confident tutoring Primary and/or High School Math or English
- Patient, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with students
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal English
- Reliable and organised
- Comfortable travelling to students’ homes within your local area
Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or childcare experience is highly regarded, but not essential.
You’ll need:
- A valid Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one)
- An ABN (or willingness to obtain one)
- Access to a car is preferred
