Join our team at BCR Communities as a Community Care Worker at our community-minded organisation!

BCR Communities has been providing community services since 1991 and due to an increase in demand for our services we are seeking to employ additional Community Care Worker to provide assistance to older people that live independently in their own homes.

We are seeking an individual who is compassionate and committed to enhancing the lives of individuals in our communities with skills and qualities to match.

We are currently seeking a Permanent Part Time Aged Care Community Care Worker for minimum 35 hrs per fortnight, available Monday to Friday.

The Role:

This role involves visiting clients in their own homes and required all areas of Southern Shoalhaven - from Bay & Basin, Sussex Inlet, Bendalong, Manyana, Lake Conjola , Mollymook, Milton , Ulladulla to Burrill Lake.

Services may include:

Personal care such as assisting with showering, other personal support and providing medication assistance
Shopping and meal preparation, assist with light housekeeping
Respite and social support, share common interests and provide companionship
Community Access
Medication assistance

You will be:

Reliable and trustworthy
An effective communicator
Compassionate with a positive attitude
Eager to learn and willing to embark on further training and development offered
Enjoy providing a quality service with a focus on attention to details
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous caregiving experience is a plus

Applicants must hold (or obtain through recruitment process):

Australian Federal Police clearance (no disclosable outcomes)
First Aid Certificate
Certificate III Individual Support Ageing, Disability or Home and Community Care (or equivalent qualification)
Assist with Clients Medication certification (desirable)
Drivers Licence, with safe driving record
Copy of uncertified driving record from Services NSW
Current car registration & comprehensive insurance
Working with Children Check Clearance

Hours and Shifts:

As this is a permanent part time position, we require good availability across Monday to Friday.
