Role Description:
As a Senior Project Controller where you will be part of the exciting and dynamic team. Reporting to the Program Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the proper use of the company Earned Value Management (EVM) System so that the project management team can adequately monitor and report on project cost, schedule progress and risk status. In the conduct of assigned duties, the Senior Project Controller must maintain the goodwill of the Customer and company management, by ensuring that our established EVM processes are carried out to report and manage the project with timely, accurate EVM data.
Core Duties:
- You will be accountable for providing the required level of management, coordination and expert assistance towards delivering the project controls scope of work in support of the cost & schedule baseline, the effective use of project controls tool sets and EVM/project reporting as required by the project team
- Assist the project team to establish the initial cost & schedule baseline
- Provide expert assistance in the use of cost & schedule tools (Open Plan/Primavera/ Microsoft Project and Cobra)
- Provide EVM project reporting and analysis data to the project team on a monthly basis
- Assisting with Project Controls support for business unit including multiple lines of business or large projects
- Good understanding of Project Management function and its interactions with other functions
Essential Skills:
- Ability to see patterns, trends, or missing pieces
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside immediate team, to implement business requirements
- Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost
- Ability to use good written and verbal communication skills is important to this role
- Experience with Project Controls toolsets such as Primavera P6 and Cobra required
- In depth knowledge of Project Controls principles and tools; in depth understanding of the CAS system
- SME of Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Working knowledge of quantifiable analysis of risk and uncertainty
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Ability to obtain Australian Defence security clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) is required
