Are you an experienced chemist that wants a new challenge in the pharma industry and are wanting to build your experience? If so, you’ll join a fast-paced environment that pushes you to achieve your best as you partner the business to deliver its products and improve its processes. But you won’t do it alone. You’ll be supported – every step of the way as part of a large, high achieving Formulation Team.
Your responsibilities, at a glance

Work closely with other scientists, clients, project management, quality and operations teams to ensure agreed outcomes

Ensure that formulation and process development results in products that meet the target product profile are completed in the agreed timeframes

Provide leadership to other scientists engaged in the development of new products
-
Provide technical support to operations in the resolution of any product development issues

Maintain information about current formulation technology
-
Design, coordinate and execute product development activities including: de-formulation, excipient selection, API selection, equipment selection, Prototype, Batch Records and Scale-up
You will have demonstrated experience or have an understanding of:
Pharmaceutical Formulation & Product Development: Designing, developing and optimising oral solid dose formulations, including excipient selection, API evaluation, prototype development and Quality by Design (QbD) principles.-
Scale-Up & Technology Transfer: Supporting the scale-up of products from laboratory through pilot and registration/commercial manufacture, including process optimisation, batch record preparation and identification of critical process parameters.

Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP): Working within cGMP requirements, maintaining accurate technical documentation, preparing product specifications and ensuring development activities meet quality and regulatory standards.

Technical Problem Solving: Investigating formulation and manufacturing challenges, evaluating new technologies and suppliers, troubleshooting existing products and providing technical support to manufacturing operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Building effective working relationships and communicating with cross-functional teams including Analytical Development, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Project Management, CMOs and external suppliers to deliver development projects successfully.
