About the Role
We're looking for an Accounts Receivable & Sales Support Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Administration Manager and the Sales Manager, you'll manage the end-to-end accounts receivable function for Ahrens Silos while supporting the Sales team with quotes and client liaison. You'll be the person keeping our cash flow healthy and our customer accounts accurate, while also helping ensure a smooth experience for customers from quote through to delivery. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices, credit notes, and adjustments
- Complete monthly consignment stock reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or short payments, maintaining accurate account balances
- Support month-end reporting and audits
- Monitor aged receivables and follow up overdue accounts by phone, email, and letter
- Negotiate repayment plans and resolve disputes professionally
- Escalate seriously overdue debts and manage account holds as required
- Follow up on online quotes to help convert enquiries into sales
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to prepare accurate, timely quote information for customers
Act as a key point of contact for clients in the lead-up to silo delivery, ensuring smooth and professional experience

- Basic accounting and financial literacy, with an understanding of payment terms and inventory
- Time management, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
Experience with accounting systems (e.g. Pronto) and confident Excel skills
