Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our Kitchen team on a casual basis.
This is a great opportunity for a developing chef looking to gain experience across à la carte service, breakfast buffets, conferencing and events within a professional hotel kitchen.
You will be responsible for:

Assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes

Supporting chefs during busy service periods in a fast-paced environment

Maintaining consistency and quality across all food offerings

Ensuring food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are met at all times

Keeping workstations clean, organised and efficient

Assisting with stock rotation and minimising food wastage
-
Contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture
This role suits someone who is flexible, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery

A genuine passion for food and hospitality

Strong willingness to learn and take direction

Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices

Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, mornings, weekends and public holidays
