How you’ll make an impact
AMP Bank Operations is responsible for delivering a customer centric service offering to existing and new customers, that enables the AMP Bank strategy.
As the Hardship Team Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team that supports customers facing financial difficulty, delivering fair, timely and customer-focused outcomes. Combining strong people leadership, operational excellence and sound risk management, you'll drive exceptional customer experiences, ensure regulatory compliance, and continuously improve AMP Bank's hardship services.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Lead and develop a high-performing hardship team, driving capability, engagement and accountability.
- Oversee end-to-end hardship operations, ensuring quality outcomes, efficient case management and service level performance.
- Champion customer outcomes, fostering an empathetic, vulnerability-aware approach that delivers fair and sustainable solutions.
- Manage risk and compliance, ensuring adherence to hardship obligations, policies and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement, enhancing processes, customer experiences and operational effectiveness while partnering with key stakeholders.
What you will bring to the team
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Collections or Hardship or Mortgage lending, with exposure to hardship, arrears or vulnerable customer scenarios highly regarded.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and developing people in an operational or customer service environment.
- Sound technical knowledge of lending and hardship processes, with demonstrated capability in exercising judgement within delegated authority.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
