About the position
The Manager, Security Risk, Strategy and Compliance is a leadership position within the Security & Support Services team and is responsible for leading the Parliament’s security risk management, compliance, governance, and strategic security initiatives across both Parliament House and a network of Electorate Offices throughout New South Wales. The role provides expert advice on protective security, enterprise risk management, security governance, threat assessment, compliance frameworks, incident review and investigation, business continuity, emergency management, and strategic security planning. The successful candidate will work closely with senior executives, government stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and security partners to ensure the Parliament maintains a contemporary, intelligence-led and risk-based security posture.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security risk management frameworks and programs.
- Conducting strategic security risk assessments and threat assessments across Parliament House and Electorate Offices.
- Managing security compliance, governance, policies, procedures, and assurance activities.
- Overseeing protective security initiatives, including physical, personnel and information security programs.
- Developing and maintaining emergency management, crisis management and business continuity arrangements.
- Preparing executive briefings, reports, business cases and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Managing security-related projects and supporting the delivery of organisational security strategies.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including internal groups, NSW Police, emergency services, government agencies and security consultants.
- Supporting investigations, incident reviews and lessons-learned processes.
- Contributing to strategic planning and capability uplift programs across the Security & Support Services portfolio.

Travel Requirements
The role requires regular travel throughout New South Wales to support security assessments, projects, audits, stakeholder engagement and operational activities across Electorate Offices and other Parliament-related locations.
Candidates should be willing and able to undertake up to 25% travel as part of their normal duties.
