What's the role on offer?

Based on site at the Rockhampton Airport and supporting multiple locations, including remote Stores and the Alliance Distribution Centre (ADC), this role supports Engineering, Workshops, and Procurement Department demands. As the Stores Officer, you will actively implement Logistics and Warehouse best practices to enhance safety, operational efficiency, and cost control, while delivering quality service to all customers.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinate and support all Store functions to ensure alignment with safety, compliance, and business needs.
Maintain and manage inventory safely and accurately, coordinating stock levels, orders, and transfers as needed.
Support and optimise the Stores network for high performance, identifying improvements to systems and procedures.
Assist in local procurement activities, and action Part Sales demands and related requests promptly.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and freight companies.
Comply with safety, security, and regulatory standards and stay updated on Stores, Aviation, and Supply Chain trends.

Who we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in Stores, Logistics, or Warehousing, with exposure to computer-based inventory systems, ideally in the aviation industry. A secondary education is required, and a current Driver’s License is essential. Desirable qualifications include a Cert IV in Warehousing Operations or Logistics, a Dangerous Goods Shippers Certificate, and a Forklift Licence.

Key skills include:

Strong ability to develop and implement processes and apply logical thinking to data compilation
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Proven ability to prioritise, plan, and organize work collaboratively to meet deadlines
Flexibility and commitment to take on varied tasks with a strong focus on teamwork
Demonstrated alignment with Alliance Values – Performance, Purpose, People & Service
