Junior Import Operator - Brisbane

Junior Import Operator - Brisbane | Up to $55,000 - $60,000 + Super | Mentorship and Training provided

Their team supports every shipment before, during, and after delivery, and they are committed to improving their service every day.

Your new role- Junior Import Operator

Process documents efficiently and promptly to ensure they are correct and have been entered into the operations system.
Liaise with Customs Agents, clients, various transport bodies, and Australian Customs as and when required.
Responsible for processing import and export documentation.
Responsible for booking cargo with shipping lines and consolidators.
To inspect all dangerous goods documentation and cargo, where applicable.
Take responsibility for documenting Document Change Requests.
Take responsibility for inspecting all freight received or dispatched to the consignee or shipper.
Take responsibility for completing a Skills Inventory and for ensuring all training received is recorded.
To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the import department.
Prepare arrival notices.
Pay all charges and check ultimate consignees.

What you'll need to succeed

No experience needed
Mentorship and training provided
Suited to a school leaver or warehouse junior wanting to get their start in freight forwarding
Ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently.
Excellent written and verbal communication
Exceptional time management skills
Strong planning and organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
Team oriented, have an eye for detail, willing to learn and see work through to completion.
Hard working attitude
