Join Our Team at SDS – Structural Steel Detailer

SDS is a rapidly growing structural steel detailing company based on the Gold Coast. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Structural Steel Detailer to join our team and contribute to a wide range of commercial, industrial, and mining projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment with flexible working arrangements and strong career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate structural steel workshop and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures
Interpret and work from architectural and structural engineering drawings
Coordinate and communicate effectively with fabricators, builders, engineers, and consultants
Ensure drawings comply with relevant Australian Standards and project specifications
Review and check models and drawings for accuracy and quality
Deliver work within project deadlines while maintaining high detailing standards

Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural steel detailing, including modelling, drawing editing, and checking
Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures
Experience with commercial, industrial, and mining projects
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
