Robe Family Practice is seeking a full-time General Practitioner (GP) to join our medical practice in Robe, South Australia.
Robe Family Practice provides medical services to the local community and surrounding areas.
Robe is a coastal town located in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia, approximately 330 km south-east of Adelaide. The town has a resident population of approximately 1,500 people, with increased demand for medical services during peak holiday periods.
The Practice
Robe Family Practice is a doctor-owned general practice providing comprehensive primary healthcare services. The practice is predominantly bulk billing, with a focus on accessible care for the local community.
The practice is fully computerised and operates in accordance with RACGP standards.
Services include general consultations, management of acute and chronic conditions, preventative healthcare, and coordination with visiting allied health providers. The practice is supported by qualified practice nurses and experienced administrative staff.
The clinic maintains professional relationships with regional hospitals, pharmacies, and visiting specialists to support patient care and referral pathways.
The Position
The General Practitioner will provide services consistent with the scope of ANZSCO 253111 – General Practitioner, including:
- Conducting patient consultations and clinical examinations
- Diagnosing and treating a range of medical conditions
- Prescribing medications and managing treatment plans
- Providing preventative healthcare and patient education
- Managing chronic disease and coordinating care plans
- Maintaining accurate patient records using clinical software
- Referring patients to specialists and allied health providers as required
- Participating in quality improvement and accreditation activities
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 38 hours per week.
Requirements
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Australia as a GP
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, patient-centred care
- Competency in the use of clinical software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Remuneration and Employment Conditions
- Full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week)
- Guaranteed minimum remuneration of $150,000 per annum, with additional earnings based on a percentage of billings, commensurate with experience
- Employment conditions, including leave and superannuation, will be in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009 and relevant employment agreement
