This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas

What you'll be doing
The Administration Officer provides the provision of a comprehensive range of high quality, timely and efficient administrative support to the team and/or department in line with current Far West Local Health District policies and procedures to ensure the efficient running of the Health Service.To provide quality day to day administrative support to the Health Service Manager, Team Leader and/or department to ensure effective service delivery.

Provide effective customer service, while attending to reception and telephone enquires ensuring the provision of information and referring enquiries is in an effective and responsive manner.

Coordinate administrative systems and procedures to ensure office efficiency in accordance with LHD policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

To fulfil administration functions of the health facility including iPM, Petty Cash and Accounting and ordering stock.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

Certificate III in Business administration and/or experience providing administration support, preferably within a healthcare setting.

Demonstrated computer/data entry skills, specifically with MS office products in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, email, internet based applications and databases and experience in cash management, collection of fees and processing of accounts.

Proficient organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and the ability to exercise basic problem solving skills using reference to established methods and procedures.

Proficient interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently and courteously with people at all levels.

Capacity to work under broad supervision and ability to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team and understanding of cultural awareness issues and the need for cultural sensitivity.

The ability to travel when required within the Far West Local Health District facilities.
