Job Description

The Opportunity

Support parents and carers of children and young people (0-18) through short-term counselling, coaching and capacity-building.
Deliver meaningful support that helps families overcome challenges and strengthen wellbeing.
Facilitate parenting groups, workshops and seminars that build confidence, connection and practical skills.
Connect families with tailored supports through warm referrals and strong community partnerships.
Co-facilitate engaging child and youth programs alongside Allied Health professionals.
Build relationships across schools, community organisations and local networks to increase access to support.
Provide flexible support across healthAbility sites, community locations and telehealth.
Contribute to innovative programs and resources that respond to the evolving needs of families.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience

Qualified in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related field.
Experience supporting children, young people and families in a community services setting.
Knowledge of child and adolescent development, including neurodiversity.
Confident facilitating groups, workshops and parent education programs.
Skilled in family support, goal planning, referrals and service navigation.
A collaborative team player with strong community networking skills.
Organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
Current Victorian Driver's licence.
