$111,798 – $132,585 salary package - includes base salary ($98,499 – $116,81, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (if part time add pro-rata)

About the role
We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of community services professionals, with two opportunities available: one permanent full-time role and one temporary part-time position (21 hours per week, across 3 days) based at Strathfield Campus.
As a Teacher of Community Services at TAFE NSW, you will play a vital role in shaping the future workforce by delivering high-quality vocational education and training. You will design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that support students in achieving their goals, whether through campus-based, online, or work-based delivery. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, maintaining industry relevance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also collaborate with industry partners and the broader community to ensure training remains current, responsive, and aligned with workforce needs.
About You
You are a passionate educator with a strong background in community services and a commitment to student success. With at least three years of recent industry experience and Bachelor Degree or higher in a relevant field, you bring both technical expertise and real-world insight to your teaching. Your excellent communication skills, adaptability, and collaborative approach make you a valued team member, and you thrive in dynamic, diverse learning environments where you can make a meaningful impact.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Hold a Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field such as Social Science, Counselling, Community Services, Mental Health, Social Work etc
- Have a minimum of three years post-qualification industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
- Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
- Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
