Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining high presentation standards, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the supermarket, ensuring all departments operate efficiently and meet business standards
- Coordinate staff rostering, supervision, and performance management to maintain productivity and service quality
- Monitor stock levels across all product categories and organise timely ordering to ensure product availability
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising to enhance customer experience
- Liaise with suppliers, including local producers, to ensure consistent supply of fresh and quality products
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to improve revenue and reduce wastage
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
- Manage pricing, promotions, and in-store displays to maximise sales opportunities
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a supermarket or grocery environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Sound understanding of inventory control and retail operations
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards
