Basis Expert Consulting Services Pty Ltd is looking for a full-time SAP Competency Manager to join our BCS family and lead strategic SAP AMS engagements for enterprise customers across Australia.
You will work onsite, representing the BCS brand while driving customer engagement, governance execution, transformation initiatives, and end-to-end SAP managed services delivery across technical, functional, data, and cloud workstreams.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- SAP AMS Engagement Leadership: Own and manage enterprise SAP AMS engagements, ensuring successful delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Lead executive stakeholder relationships, customer governance forums, service reviews, and strategic operational discussions.
- Service Delivery Governance: Drive onsite governance, SLA performance, service quality, operational reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across SAP delivery streams.
- Offshore Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and coordinate offshore SAP delivery teams across technical, functional, security, data, and cloud domains.
- Operational Stability & Escalation Management: Ensure operational stability by proactively managing incidents, escalations, risks, and service delivery challenges.
- Strategic Transformation Support: Provide strategic advisory and operational guidance across SAP transformation, automation, optimization, and modernization initiatives.
- Cross-Functional SAP Oversight: Oversee SAP Technical, Functional, Security/GRC, Data & Reporting, Integration, and Cloud Infrastructure support operations.
- Commercial & Governance Management: Support commercial governance, operational planning, resource coordination, and delivery alignment with customer expectations.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, governance enhancements, and operational efficiency programs.
- Technology & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate delivery across SAP ECC, SAP BW/HANA, SAP BODS, SAP SAC, SAP CPI, AWS, and enterprise reporting platforms.
Skills Required/Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10–18 years of experience in SAP AMS, SAP Service Delivery, or SAP Managed Services leadership roles.
- Strong SAP technical and functional background with enterprise delivery experience.
- Proven experience managing large-scale SAP AMS engagements and customer relationships.
- Hands-on understanding of SAP Basis, SAP Security/GRC, SAP Functional modules, SAP Data platforms, and Cloud Infrastructure environments.
- Experience managing global and offshore delivery teams within SLA-driven managed services models.
- Strong governance, stakeholder management, and commercial management capabilities.
- Experience leading operational transformation and service improvement initiatives.
- Exposure to SAP ECC, SAP BW/HANA, SAP BODS, SAP SAC, SAP CPI, and AWS cloud environments.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to operate across both strategic and operational delivery layers.
- ITIL, SAP, or Service Management certifications are an added advantage.
