Shore Can Construction are seeking a Lead Carpenter who can hold their own on site, and who isn't shy to join in, on a bit of on-site karaoke. You will be required to work under the direction of the builder and get the grunt of the work done with the otehr carpenters and labourers on site.
This role would suit a carpenter looking to develop the skills to become a builder. (not just onsite skills but safety processes, tenders, quoting, contracts, ordering, project management, warranty and business development) The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow with the business and share in its success.
You will need well rounded experience, an open mind and an interest in growth and development. You need to be neat and tidy, take pride in your work, and love what you do. Confident enough to try, and confident enough to ask for help when you're in the deep end.
Based in Sydney's Inner west and North Shore, Shore Can Construction is a boutique building company specializing in design and construction of home renovations, residential first floor additions, bathrooms, kitchens, and tricky jobs that other builders turn down. You will be rewarded with a full time role and a great team to work with; in an environment of positive people who love their work, their tools and their trucks. Your exposure on site will cover everything carpentry and builder related in the residential environment.
Your duties and responsibilities will be so varied there's no point in listing them here. In the pipe line there are new homes, first floor additions, new kitchens, hardwood decks, bathroom renos, home alterations and extensions. Additionally, there will be plenty of 80s music, with house music and burgers to get us pumped up on a Friday.
Other Particulars:
6-month probation period
38 hours a week (usually 7am to 4pm) hours averaged over any 2-week period
2 x breaks each day - (man's gotta eat)
At a minimum, your terms and conditions are in accordance with the National Employment Standards and the Building and Construction General On-site Award 2020 (MA000020).

Pay: $70,519.87 – $127,959.51 per year
