Role Overview
As a Mortgage Broker Assistant, you will support our mortgage brokers in delivering smooth, compliant, and timely loan solutions for clients. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work from home while staying closely connected with a collaborative, high-performance team. You will be the crucial link in process execution, documentation management, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist mortgage brokers with submissions, document collection, and loan processing from application to settlement
- Liaise with clients, lenders, conveyancers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless experience
- Prepare and review loan submissions for accuracy and compliance (NCCP/AML/CTF)
- Manage customer relationships and provide proactive updates on loan progress
- Maintain and update client files in the CRM and loan origination systems
- Handle administrative tasks including emailing, scheduling, and file migrations
- Support brokers in pipeline management, follow-ups, and performance targets
- Assist with marketing and client re-engagement activities as required
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum requirement: Certificate IV in Mortgage Brokering (or equivalent)
- Prior experience in mortgage brokering (ideally in a support/assistant role)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to organise, prioritise, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with mortgage origination software, CRM systems, and MS Office
- Knowledge of NCCP, AML/CTF compliance, and standard lending guidelines
- Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment with self-motivation and initiative
- Australian work rights
