We’re seeking an energetic, hands-on and passionate Venue Manager to lead our busy indoor playcentre and integrated Muffin Break Café in Joondalup, where the fun never stops!
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality and family entertainment environment. As Venue Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of both the playcentre and café while leading a team focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences for children and families.
You’ll be responsible for creating a safe, welcoming and FUN environment while driving team performance, operational excellence and business growth.
About the Role
As the Venue Manager, you will lead all aspects of venue operations including:
- Managing the daily operation of the playcentre and Muffin Break Café
- Leading, motivating and developing a team of café staff, party hosts and kitchen team members
- Delivering outstanding customer service and memorable guest experiences
- Ensuring food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained at all times
- Managing rostering, labour costs and team productivity
- Monitoring stock ordering, wastage and inventory control
- Driving café sales, party bookings and venue performance
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety standards and policies
- Handling customer enquiries, complaints and escalations professionally
- Maintaining a safe environment for children, families and staff
- Supporting local area marketing initiatives and community engagement
- Training and coaching staff to maintain brand and operational standards
About You

- Experienced in hospitality, café or entertainment venue management
- Confident managing teams in a fast-paced environment

- Comfortable working weekends, school holidays and some evenings
- Skilled in leading by example and building team culture
- Calm under pressure with strong communication skills
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous management or supervisory experience in hospitality, retail or entertainment venues
- Strong café and food service operational knowledge
- Experience with staff training, rostering and performance management
- Ability to multitask and manage high-volume service periods
- Understanding of food safety and workplace health & safety requirements
- Strong cash handling and basic reporting skills
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities
Desirable
- Barista experience
- Experience working in family entertainment, playcentres or quick-service hospitality
- First Aid Certificate
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Working With Children Check
