If you enjoy working closely with clients, thinking beyond compliance, and building trusted relationships in a highly specialised space – this role could be a great fit.
We’re looking for someone to join our team working with high-net-worth [HNW] individuals, family groups, and SMSF clients.
This is a niche portfolio focused on tax, compliance, and strategic support for clients with more complex personal and wealth structures.
Depending on your experience, this role may suit a strong Senior Accountant ready to step up, or an established Manager looking to specialise further in SMSFs and specialised client work.
You’ll work directly alongside one of our Directors, managing a select portfolio of HNW and SMSF clients, many of whom are former business owners with complex financial affairs.
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where relationships matter. Clients will know you, trust you, and come to you directly.
You’ll be supported to deepen your technical capability across personal tax and SMSF matters, while also developing your leadership and client management skills.
We don’t work in silos – you’ll be part of a collaborative team where knowledge is shared, and everyone contributes to great client outcomes.
- Manage a portfolio of HNW individuals, family groups, and SMSF clients.
- Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory work across personal tax and SMSFs.
- Work closely with a Director to deliver accurate and timely year-end financials and tax returns.
- Build strong, trusted client relationships and become their go-to advisor.
- Review work prepared by others and support junior team development [level dependent].
- Identify opportunities to add value and improve client outcomes.
We’re open on level – what matters most is capability, attitude, and interest in this type of work.
You will likely have:
- CA/CPA qualification.
- Experience in public practice accounting, with strong knowledge in areas such as Div7A and working with investment companies [Senior Accountant or Manager level].
- Strong personal tax experience [SMSF exposure highly regarded, or willingness to specialise].
- A genuine interest in working with individuals and families rather than business clients.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work.
- Confidence communicating with clients and explaining complex matters simply.
- A collaborative, down-to-earth approach to your work.
- Leadership experience, or a desire to grow in this area.
- And importantly – you enjoy building relationships and delivering a great client experience [not just processing work].
- A specialist role focused on HNW and SMSF client work.
- A high level of client exposure and relationship ownership.
- The ability to grow into either a Manager or deeper technical specialist pathway.
- Support from experienced Directors and a collaborative team.
- A mix of hands-on technical work and client engagement.
- A modern, vibrant office on James Street with flexibility where needed.
- A team culture that values collaboration over silos.
We’re a multidisciplinary business, meaning you’ll work alongside advisors, specialists, legal professionals, and other experts who collaborate to deliver better outcomes for clients.
We value straight talk, strong relationships, and doing great work without unnecessary complexity.
You’ll be joining an officially certified Great Place to Work®, a recognition we’re proud of, but more importantly, something our people feel every day.
We also offer flexibility and genuinely support different working styles. If you need flexibility, we’re open to discussing what works.
Submit your resume and a short cover letter outlining your experience and interest in this type of client work.
