We’re seeking a Venue Manager to lead the Longreach Tavern. Drive success, lead passionate teams, and shape unforgettable community events while making a lasting impact in Queensland’s outback across a well-established venue in the heart of a thriving regional town.

Located in the heart of Longreach, Queensland, The Longreach Tavern is a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike. Known for its warm hospitality, great food, refreshing drinks and relaxed outback charm, the Tavern offers a welcoming and lively atmosphere where people come together to enjoy good times. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Drive revenue growth through innovative strategies, creating unique events and exceptional customer service.
Manage budgets and financial reporting, ensuring cost controls are in place.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and health & safety requirements.
Foster relationships with the local community and enhance the hotel's reputation.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience as a Senior Venue Manager or in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and forecasting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead by example and inspire your team to deliver excellence.
A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for hospitality.

Mandatory Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a current RMLV, Approved Manager’s Licence, Gaming Nomination/Licence, Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) certification, and Queensland RSA and RSG certifications.

If you do not currently hold all mandatory qualifications, you will be required to obtain them prior to commencing employment.
