Your new role:
As a Senior Prosthetist/Orthotist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical services to patients across Metro South Health while working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will:
Deliver advanced Prosthetic and Orthotic assessment, intervention and evaluation services
Manage a varied and complex clinical caseload with a high degree of professional autonomy
Provide specialist clinical advice and support to multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical practices, protocols and service initiatives
Lead and participate in quality improvement, research and service evaluation activities

You are an experienced and patient-focused Prosthetist/Orthotist who is passionate about improving mobility, independence and quality of life for patients. You thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment and bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability and a commitment to evidence-based practice. You will bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Prosthetics and Orthotics recognised by AOPA
Demonstrated experience delivering high-level Prosthetic and Orthotic clinical services
Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills in complex healthcare environments
Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement abilities
Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams

About us:
The Prosthetic/Orthotic and Podiatry Services Department is a multi-disciplinary clinically based Allied Health Department, providing high level clinical and consultancy prosthetic, orthotic and podiatry services to the specialist Acute and Rehabilitation Departments of the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Metro South Hospital and Health Service. The department is also responsible for the clinical coordination of the Princess Alexandra Hospital Amputee Clinic and the Chronic Foot Care Clinic.
