We are seeking an experienced Hotel Service Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional service delivery across the property.
⭐ POSITION OVERVIEW
The Hotel Service Manager is responsible for supervising day‑to‑day hotel operations, managing staff, maintaining service standards, and ensuring smooth functioning of all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house activities. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
⭐ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Services & Front Office Management
- Oversee daily front office operations including check‑ins, check‑outs, reservations, and guest enquiries
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and handle escalated guest issues
- Maintain accurate booking records across OTA platforms (Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, Little Hotelier, etc.)
Housekeeping & Maintenance Coordination
- Supervise housekeeping operations to ensure rooms and public areas meet cleanliness standards
- Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs, safety checks, and property upkeep
- Monitor inventory of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies
Staff Supervision & Training
- Lead, train, and supervise front office, housekeeping, and service staff
- Prepare staff rosters and manage shift coverage
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development
Operational & Administrative Duties
- Manage daily financial tasks including banking, invoicing, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with WHS, fire safety, and regulatory requirements
- Implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and guest experience
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
⭐ REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in hotel/motel management or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations, guest services, and housekeeping standards
- Experience using hotel PMS/booking systems (Little Hotelier preferred)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a small team
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Understanding of WHS and compliance requirements
