About the Role
We're seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to provide on-site health, safety and environmental leadership, coordination and support on one of our remote construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, site teams and the HSE Manager, you'll play a critical role in fostering a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace culture.
This is a hands-on role, you'll be out on the ground running inspections, leading toolbox talks and prestart, coordinating training and VOCs, and stepping up to lead incident investigations when they happen. If you'd rather influence safety outcomes in the field than manage them from behind a desk, this role is for you.
This is a casual position, FIFO/DIDO from Perth, Brisbane or Darwin, on an even-time 2:2 roster.
What You'll Be Doing

Reviewing and implementing the WHS Management System on-site, including site management plans, procedures and forms
- Conducting site inspections, audits and in-field assurance activities to maintain WHS compliance
- Maintaining site registers (Hazob, CRAWs, SMP, ERP, TMP) and coordinating permits to work and PPE
- Coordinating and supporting risk assessments (CRAW, SWMS, JHA), and identifying and reporting hazards with timely corrective actions
- Leading or coordinating incident investigations, including evidence collection, root cause analysis and reporting
- Delivering safety training, inductions and site-specific hazard awareness programs, including VOCs and competency testing
- Managing training and qualification records, and monitoring the Project Training Matrix
- Conducting weekly toolbox talks and daily prestart meetings, and promoting a proactive safety culture on-site
- Developing and implementing emergency response plans and ensuring environmental compliance
- Tracking and reporting HSE performance metrics and escalating significant issues to the HSE Manager
What You'll Bring

Minimum Certificate IV in WHS (Diploma in WHS desirable)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE), to enable delivery of VOCs on-site
- ICAM Lead Investigator Training
- Current C class driver's licence
- Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card) and current First Aid & CPR
- Experience in a HSE role within civil, SMP, commercial, mining or construction operations
- Sound knowledge of construction HSE systems, risk management processes and hazard identification techniques
- Confident, engaging communicator, comfortable delivering toolbox talks and coaching site teams on safe behaviours
- Work at Heights, Confined Space or other High Risk Work Licences, and auditing qualifications, well regarded
