About the Role
Hospital Pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician at Slade Pharmacy Pimlico, you’ll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.
Key responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide counselling on over-the-counter medicines.
- Prepare and compound cancer therapies (training provided).
- Respond to customer and clinic enquiries.
- Support administrative and operational tasks.
- Process orders and manage inventory.

Mater Private Hospital, Townsville (Pimlico) is a 200-bed leading contemporary medical facility, including a dedicated Women’s and Children’s Units, an Emergency Department, and the largest private cardiac presence north of Brisbane.
About You
You thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment and bring strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
While hospital experience is highly regarded, it’s not essential—we provide full training to support your transition. Prior dispensary experience is required to ensure you can hit the ground running.
Essential requirements:
- Australian working rights, valid for at least 12 months from date of employment.
- Minimum 1-year experience in pharmacy dispensary roles.
Desirable skills & experience:
- Hospital pharmacy experience.
- Availability to work weekend shifts.
