Full Job Description

This is your chance to join the company at an exciting time, bringing a fresh approach to the industry through a pipeline of effective crop health products.

Who will you work for?
This agribusiness offers a wide range of nutritional technologies and have been working with Australian horticultural, nut, tree crop and grape growers for the last 20 years. During this time, products have been trialled, analysed and developed resulting in a portfolio that provide a range of solutions to conventional and organic growers. This company will offer an experienced agronomist an opportunity to continue to develop their technical, agronomic and commercial skills.

The role itself?
Based in either Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or Bundaberg you will engage with growers, agronomy consultants and rural retailers across specific growing regions in south-east Queensland. You will also spend time with the technical staff, on-farm agronomists, production/farm managers, quality control managers and business managers across the industry where you will create opportunities to strengthen their understanding of soil nutrition and crop protection products.

Your day to day activities in this role will include:

Effective and on-going management of all professional & commercial relationships
Developing product positioning and implementing customer account plans
Engaging in an on-going and progressive professional development program
Providing timely and accurate technical support to current and potential customers
Identifying market opportunities and working closely with customers to understand their needs
Engaging in technical, sales and developmental experiences with a senior team member
Offering a supportive and educational environment across the industry to increase knowledge of soil nutrition technologies
Creating and engaging in valuable professional relationships

What kind of person will fit the role?
To be considered for this position you must have tertiary agricultural science qualifications and previous experience in horticultural, nut, tree crop or grape agronomy. It is also important that you have an ability to establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions.

You will be rewarded for your contributions to the business with an attractive salary (proportionate to your experience and skill set), annual incentives, 9.5% superannuation and a vehicle.
