Underwriter - Motor
A core business unit within Aon Risk Solutions, One Underwriting is an evolving and expanding underwriting agency, providing insurance and risk management solutions to our national network of general insurance brokers.
We’re looking to appoint an Underwriter to support the team, enabling us to continue growing our well-established classic, prestige and speciality motor portfolio and helping both our broking partners and the wider business achieve its financial targets.

What the day will look like

Support the processing of new business, renewals, and endorsements
-
Manage the efficient turnaround of quotations, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.

Resolution and ownership of problem solving including following through with resolutions and having open communication with Brokers.

Ensure all enquiries, complaints, opportunities are responded to quickly and effectively
-
Ensure adherence to industry regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.

Keep up to date with industry best practices by participating in business related industry forms and working groups.

Debtor management

Manage the renewal process for assigned accounts, including the maintenance of renewal and strike rate registers, and create reports as required by the team

Manage inter office and external referrals
-
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurer partner, brokers and colleagues
Skills and experience that will lead to success
-
Experience in the Insurance industry with strong knowledge and interest in the motor industry
-
High level of computer literacy- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet.

Accurate keyboard skills
-
Well-developed communication skills – oral and written
-
Ability to work to strict deadlines with minimal supervision, or in a remote environment
-
A well-developed market presence at a profession level.
