About the Role
As our Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals that are nutritious, appealing, and tailored to individual dietary requirements. Working as part of a dedicated kitchen team, you will help create positive dining experiences for residents while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities include:

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to dietary requirements

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with cleaning and infection-control standards

Keep accurate records of key kitchen and stock data

Liaise with supervisors and suppliers regarding stock control and ordering

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations

Contribute ideas for menu development and special events
What You will Bring
You are a passionate and reliable Cook who understands the important role food plays in the health, wellbeing, and quality of life of older Australians. You enjoy working in a team environment, take pride in your work, and are committed to delivering excellent service every day.
You will also bring:

Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation, cooking processes, and a strong knowledge of food hygiene.

At least one year’s experience as a Cook.

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (Essential).

Current Police Check or willing to apply.

Hold valid Australian Work Rights (Unfortunately we are not currently able to offer sponsorship).

Strong understanding of food safety legislation, texture-modified diets, and special dietary needs.

Experience in the aged care sector (Essential).
