Minimum 2 year of Experience in building Electrical Switchboards (MSBs, MDBs, MCCs and DBs including Link Boxes)
Australian Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent international qualification).
Proven experience working as a Metal Fabricator / Tradesman in a workshop environment.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
Competent in various welding techniques (MIG/TIG) and fabrication machinery.
Competent in Welding Soft Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminum with thickness from 1-3mm
High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Commitment to workplace safety standards.
Proof of completed: OHS Card, Asbestos Card and Silica Card

Key Responsibilities:

Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the Switchboard requirements.
Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication.
Cut, shape, and bend metal sections using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment.
Assemble, fit, and weld metal parts and sub-assemblies (MIG, TIG, and Stick welding).
Structural steel fabrication, welding, and installation.
Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and in compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Pay: $79,500.00 – $85,000.00 per year
