About the role

We’re seeking a talented marketing specialist with strong experience in the competitive FMCG packaged food sector, and a proven track record of identifying new/emerging market opportunities, including developing data-driven marketing/promotional strategies. Experience across APAC and/or Middle East FMCG markets is highly regarded.

Please note, candidates whose experience is limited to general advertising, content creation, social media management, or marketing agency backgrounds, without demonstrated marketing specialist experience and campaign ownership in the packaged food sector, will not be shortlisted for this role.

With an established and growing presence across Australia, we’re currently amidst an exciting phase of growth to complement our existing channels, including international growth plans to launch our product portfolio into key B2B commercial distributor and retail networks across the APAC and Middle East regions.

Job Duties:

Evaluate emerging market opportunities across the APAC and Middle East regions by analysing market conditions, consumer trends, competitor activity and target demographics to inform brand positioning, international marketing strategy, campaign planning and channel selection.
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies, including brand positioning, target-market segmentation and promotional strategies, aligned with overarching business growth objectives across core Australian retail channels and selected international export markets.
Analyse market trends, competitor positioning, consumer insights, customer behaviour and commercial performance data to identify market opportunities, strengthen market positioning, optimise product lifecycles and support portfolio profitability.
Develop, execute and oversee integrated marketing campaigns across Direct-to-Consumer (B2C) digital retail, Australian retail channels, B2B foodservice and distributor networks, ensuring consistent brand identity, positioning and messaging across relevant channels and markets.
Monitor, evaluate and report on marketing and campaign performance, including campaign ROI, customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on advertising spend (ROAS), customer engagement and overall channel effectiveness, using performance insights to optimise future marketing initiatives.
Support international market expansion initiatives by providing data-driven marketing insights, scalable campaign strategies and channel recommendations to strengthen market penetration and support cross-border growth decisions.
Prepare and present ongoing marketing performance reports, consumer and competitor insights, campaign results and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to support brand development, market positioning and broader business growth objectives.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in marketing or closely related field
Minimum 5 years full-time experience (or 7+ years of relevant full-time experience may substitute for a formal qualification).

Skills and Persona Attributes:

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated experience in market research and consumer analysis to inform product positioning and campaign strategy.
Proven track record of developing promotional strategies for new/emerging markets, including market research and campaign planning. Experience across APAC and/or Middle East packaged food market is highly regarded.
Understanding of distributor, retail, or foodservice marketing channel environments, with experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives that drive engagement and sales within these channels.
Demonstrated ability to monitor and measure marketing effectiveness, including KPIs such as campaign ROI, CAC, ROAS, and channel performance.

Pay: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
