About the Employer:
ARB Corporation Ltd is Australia’s leading manufacturer and distributor of 4x4 accessories. Due to ongoing growth in our operations, we are seeking a spray painter to join our team at Prestons.
Position Summary:
This is a Full-time permanaent position, working Monday to Friday from 4:54am to 1pm. You will be part of a team responsible for the spray painting of automotive components such as bull bars, side rails, canopy shells, and ute lids. The successful candidate will work with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supported with on-the-job training to grow your skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces and spray paint automotive parts
- Mix and apply paint in line with specifications
- Conduct minor defect correction and finishing
- Detailing as required
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
- Maintain tools, equipment and booths in line with maintenance program
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant, full-time work experience as a spray painter (or part-time equivalent)
- Open to 3rd year apprentices, or recently qualified.
- Experience in preparing and spray painting automotive or industrial parts
- Familiarity with colour matching and finishing
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Formal spray painting qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology) is preferred but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work to deadlines and within a team
- Good time management and communication skills
