A S Consultants Pty Ltd trading as Aus Wood and Reno is a Sydney-based carpentry and renovation company specialising in residential renovation and refurbishment projects including kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, flooring, carpentry, and interior improvement works.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our growing team in Sydney. This is a full-time opportunity to work across a variety of residential renovation and construction projects.
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist with painting, decorating, and surface preparation works for residential renovation projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with workplace safety standards.
The role involves working closely with project managers, carpenters, and site teams to deliver quality finishes across multiple renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating including sanding, patching, filling, and priming.
- Apply paints, coatings, wallpaper, and decorative finishes to residential interior and exterior surfaces.
- Carry out painting and decorating works for kitchen, bathroom, laundry, carpentry, and general renovation projects.
- Select and mix paints, finishes, and decorative materials as required.
- Protect surrounding areas during painting and decorating works.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures on-site.
- Work collaboratively with project managers and construction teams.
- Ensure works are completed to quality standards and project timelines.
Skills & Experience Required
- Relevant Certificate III qualification in Painting and Decorating or related trade qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant painting and decorating experience.
- Experience in residential renovation or construction projects preferred.
- Knowledge of painting preparation techniques, coatings, and decorative finishes.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- White Card preferred.

Salary
AUD $70,000 – $80,000 + superannuation
