Our Projects and Development Services (PDS) Data Centre team provide data centre client with the management of design, approval and construction of Data Centers.
Projects range from consultancies, new builds, data hall fit outs, services upgrades and day two works. They can be one-off projects to state, national multi-site and income cases APAC roll-out projects requiring consistent delivery.
As one of the largest project management firms in Australia with a team of over 400 professional staff, we operate in sectors including commercial, industrial, education, data centres, hotels, retail, and defence.
About the role:
We are seeking a Project Director to join our Project and Development Servicesteam. The successful candidate will take total responsibility for the effective management of all phases of projects from initial establishment to handover, commissioning and project closure.
This is for a 12 month fixed term contract
Australian citizenship is needed for this role, preferably with baseline or NV1 clearance

Snapshot of the role:
Understand key project drivers, client requirements and what success looks like on each project and Lead an internal Team
Effectively manage project stakeholders
Effective and progressive prioritisation of tasks
Be able to effectively run project at times in the absence of the Senior Project Manager or Project Manager.
Prepare project delivery plans, monthly status reports, and anticipated cost reports
Establish project budgets and manage expenditure
Create detailed project programmes with clear milestones and track progress against them.
Chair project meetings and ensure timely documentation
Lead tender preparation, contract negotiation and administration
Conduct value engineering and buildability analysis
Manage variations and approvals
Implement JLL Health Safety and Environmental systems
Identify, procure and lead consultants, contractors, and suppliers
Manage project closeout and financial reconciliation
Requirements:
Degree in Project or Construction Management or related Services discipline or a trade qualification and 15+ years' experience, OR
Demonstrated experience running projects with critical services in manufacturing, data centres, hospitals.
Experience with high security environments.
Some project experience in the data centre sector, multi sector experience will be positively assessed.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of different planning approval pathways.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project
Strong understanding of project delivery methods, and commissioning.
Experience with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 standards
Commercial negotiation skills
Ability to manage client relationships and foster repeat business
