An exciting new position for a suitably qualified Physiotherapist supporting a small physiotherapy team at Portland District Health.
You will practice and deliver physiotherapy across the acute, subacute, outpatient, aged care, and community-based settings within Portland. You support the development of clinical and leadership skills of staff placed under your responsibility and less experienced physiotherapists, allied health assistants and students. You will contribute to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the Allied Health department (Physiotherapy). You contribute to an environment that is conducive to deliver the four quality goals which are focused on putting the consumer first in everything we do. This is a Grade 3 position working up to 64 hours per fortnight (negotiable)
About you:
- Works with a team focus and cooperates with others and gains input and support to assist in achieving the organisations objectives.
- Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate and foster the provision of best clinical practice standards and service delivery that meets the needs of consumers, their families and carers
- Demonstrate clinical leadership for the Physiotherapy Team, engage in rounding and supervision with Junior Physiotherapist and Allied Health Assistants as per EBA.
- Advise and direct physiotherapy and AHA staff on the application and implementation of policies and procedures relevant to Physiotherapy practice to ensure organisational and legislative requirements are met.
- Ensure all documentation is up to date and TRAK data is completed on time (on day of service).
- Provide speciality physiotherapy support to Rehabilitations Groups (Chronic and Complex and or Oncology Group) weekly.
