Fixed Term Part Time – 64 hours per fortnightAvailable from 27th January 2027 to 6th February 2028Our Graduate Midwifery Program offers the chance to provide high quality person centred care across the full continuum of maternity services – pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period, within a supportive and inclusive rural health setting. You will play a vital role in the lives of women and their families, offering culturally sensitive safe and holistic, care that recognises the dignity, needs and values of our diverse community in Portland and the surrounding areas. Our program provides structured clinical experience within a team care model, helping you build confidence and competence in all aspects of midwifery practice. We promote a learning environment that encourages self-directed learning, fosters motivation and supports your ongoing professional development. This program is designed to prepare you for a rewarding and sustainable career in midwifery, equipping you with the skills and support to thrive in a rural healthcare setting. About you:

Registration as a Registered Midwife with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Current employee police check
Current employee Working with Children’s check.
Ongoing registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including maintenance of Professional Portfolio
Driver’s License
Must meet the requirements of Portland District Health immunisation policy
Current evidence of immunisation history and / or serology results
